A Place For Community-Building, Learning, and Joyful Growth
Children and youth with cancer and survivors face daunting challenges beyond their diagnosis—physical, neurocognitive, psychological, and social. The journey is complex, and the need for connection, guidance, and support is profound. Richi House stands in that gap—offering a welcoming, structured environment where families come together not only for community and joy, but also for healing-centered learning experiences designed to foster resilience, emotional strength, and lifelong skills.
Richi House is a beacon of hope and support for children and adolescents with pediatric cancer and their families. Located on an 8-acre campus, it offers a comprehensive environment focused on community well-being, personal growth, and holistic care—addressing critical unmet needs that impact quality of life across the entire family journey.
A Lifelong Holistic Resource
Current Activities
Richi House offers structured, cohort-based programs for families affected by childhood cancer, with full-day sessions held multiple times per month. Tailored to cancer types and developmental stages, these non-clinical, age-appropriate experiences are designed to build emotional resilience, strengthen communication, and support psychosocial growth.
Activities include learning workshops, caregiver training, peer discussions, creative arts, and educational play—along with social-emotional learning, empowerment, self-advocacy, leadership training, and capacity-building. All programming is developed in collaboration with professionals in social work, child life, mental health, and medicine to ensure a safe and enriching environment.
Main Goals
Richi House fosters a nurturing environment where families affected by childhood cancer can build connection, resilience, and critical life skills. Programming is designed to enhance peer engagement, strengthen family communication, and increase knowledge around survivorship, emotional coping, and personal development.
Participants gain confidence in self-expression, empathy, and social connection, while developing leadership skills and strategies to navigate medical and life transitions. Through shared learning and supportive dialogue, families grow stronger—together.
With deep gratitude, we recognize the organizations whose generous support helps make the Richi House possible. Your commitment helps us build a place of healing, connection, and hope for children with cancer and their families.
